Summer is nearly upon us…

…but here are a few things you should think about before you leave USD.

Make sure to return any books you no longer need to Copley Library. There is a drop off location to the left of the Circulation Desk, or, if the library is closed, please use the outside Drop Box to the left of the front doors.

If you still need your books, please renew them! You can renew online using your Library Account. You can also use your library account to see a list of everything you still have checked out.

Don’t forget to return any Interlibrary Loan materials you might have before leaving campus. Check your ILL Account online to see if you can renew your items.

Copley Library is open during the summer (click here for hours) and we have a wonderful Light Reading collection to get you started on your summer reading.

If you are taking summer classes, the library is here to help you all year round! If you need anything, always feel free to Ask A Librarian.

Have a great summer and see you in the fall!

Does Copley Library have eBooks?

Yes, we do! eBooks are great resources to have when you don’t have time to visit Copley Library. You can do just about the same thing with an eBook as you would with a regular book, plus more. Copley Library currently subscribe to ebrary, which contains over 30,000 eBook titles!

ebrary Horizontal                              ebrary-topics

If you go here, it will take you to ebrary site. Some of the basic features of an ebrary eBook are: you can highlight, write notes, use the find feature, and even create a bookshelf within your personal account. One of the best features of ebrary is the ability to download an eBook chapter onto any device that reads .pdf files, including your laptop, iPad or tablet, and  your smartphone.  You may not be able to download the entire book, but downloading a chapter or two isn’t too shabby.

Need more help with ebrary? Watch their tutorial here or ask a Copley Librarian!
