Digital Initiatives at Copley Library

The most recent addition to the Copley Library faculty is Kelly Riddle, the Digital Initiatives Librarian. She is part of the Archives and Special Collections Department.

What are digital initiatives? At Copley Library, they include making faculty scholarship more openly available on the web, publishing scholarly journals through the library, and digitizing materials like USD yearbooks. They also include working with the campus on scholarly communications issues like open access, copyright, and authors’ rights.

Digital initiatives at Copley Library are aimed at helping all of our users with exciting digital projects. Whether you want to publish a magazine or journal, host a conference, manage your research data, or just want to know how to better use images and media in your presentations and publications, digital initiatives at Copley Library are here to help you! Students, faculty, administrators or staff who have ideas or questions should contact Kelly ( to get started.
